"Economics through a Macrofying Glass" is the part of a series of annual academic events on macroeconomics, financial markets and public policy. Out target group consists of bachelor students with a strong focus on macroeconomics and public policy. During the seminars the selected participants will have the opportunity to interact with prominent economists from private companies and from institutions such as the World Bank, IMF and the National Bank of Romania.

Speakers:

  • Lajos Bokros - Professor at the Central European University and Chief economic advisor to the Prime Minister of Croatia. Prof Bokros has a vast experience in the fields of macroeconomics and public finance, which he gained as Director at The World Bank, Economic advisor to the DPM of Poland, Minister of finance in Hungary, Chairman and CEO at Budapest Bank, Chairman and CEO at Budapest Stock Exchange
  • Tony Lybek - IMF, Senior Regional Representative for Romania and Bulgaria
  • Anca Paliu Dragu - IMF, Deputy Head of the Regional Office for Romania and Bulgaria
  • Gabriel Sincu - Mazars Romania, Senior Manager, Head of Audit & Compliance Services
  • Florin Ciţu - ING, Head of Sales / Deputy Head of Financial Markets
  • Bogdan Baltazar - Financial consultant, former President of BRD 1998-2004
  • Valentin Lazea - National Bank of Romania, Chief Economist
  • Mugur Tolici - National Bank of Romania, Main Advisor
