Cultura Sparebank, branded as Cultura Bank is a Norwegian savings bank in the ethical banking movement that uses its assets on ethical investments. The bank has offices in Oslo has total assets of NOK 211 million.

Cultura got bank licensing 16 August 1996 and commenced 1  January 1997 with a total assets of 41.0 Million NOK is quadrupled in the course of seven years. The work that led to the creation of the Culture Bank has already started in 1986 with the founding of the Culture Loan Samvirke.

For Culture Bank is not about the bank to get money to get even more money. Money has no value before they decide what they used to. Without people's goals and vigor of money is nothing.

Few had heard of "social banking" da Cultura Bank was started in 1997. This international bank movement is based on two main principles: transparency - that depositors will know what money is used to - and that loans are reviewed for the purposes of social and environmental criteria. Culture Bank was the first in Norway, and after 10 years they're still the only Norwegian bank that operates by these principles.
