Prva banka Crne Gore (The First Bank of Montenegro) proceeds with the tradition of the First Nikšićka Savings Bank, the first financial institution of Montenegro founded on 06.01.1901 and also one of the first joint-stock companies in Montenegro.

Since 1995 the Bank continues to work as a joint-stock company under the name Nikšićka banka a.d. Nikšić.

Since 2007 the Bank has been operating as Prva banka Crne Gore - osnovana 1901 A.D. Podgorica.
