Max Bank A/S is a Danish regional commercial bank, mainly located in the mid-Zealand region approximately 85 kilometres south-west of Copenhagen.
The roots of Max Bank goes back to Næstved where the Bank was established on 1st September 1901.
The customer focus has characterized the Bank ever since and in 2004 Max Bank was selected as the Danish bank with the most satisfied customers. In 2004 the name was changed to Max Bank A/S in order to signal the broader customer focus and full product offering.
Max Bank is listed on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange and Investeringsforeningen Sparinvest, Europæiske Finansielle Aktier is the only major shareholder and they hold 5,36%, as per 31. december 2007, of the share capital. Max Bank Group rank among the 50 largest banks in Denmark based on total assets. However in the mid-Zealand region Max Bank hold a strong market position and ranks among the leading banks.
Max Bank is a full-service bank for private and corporate clients, offering savings, payment and lending services. Approximately 60% of lending is to corporate clients.
