The story begins many years ago in the 40s Sweden, Ingvar Kamprad founded IKEA. As the IKEA was expanded, there arose a need for customer financing, and Ikano Finans A / S was originally established as IKEA in-house financing department. With his experience from IKEA began Ikano Finans A / S to work with other retail chains around the Delivery and loan products.
On 2 January 2009 was five IKANO companies in the Nordic combined and modified in the context name to Ikano Bank. Ikano Bank in Denmark is a branch of Ikano Bank SE, Sweden. Ikano bank is owned by IKANO Group, which remains owned by the Kamprad family. The group is divided into five business areas, covering core business finance, insurance, real estate, retail and asset management. Subsequently, Ikano Bank expanded the business to include financial products tailored to businesses. Ikano Bank has more than 30 years experience in financing to residential customers.
