Danske Andelskassers Bank A/S was founded on 11 October 1969 and opened for business on 1 April 1970. It was founded by the Danish cooperative banks, which are the shareholders of the bank today.

The bank has always been characterised by stable growth, and a lot has happened since the bank started its activities in rented premises at the cooperative bank Hammershøj Andelskasse. Over the years, the bank’s business area has expanded considerably, and now includes a number of small banks as well as a retail customer group which continues to grow.

The existing premises cover an area of 2,435 sq.m., and the bank employs 100 specialists working within areas such as investment, pensions, credit, IT, accounting and communication.

The positive development calls for more space, which is why further expansion of the facilities has already begun. Danske Andelskassers Bank A/S’s new domicile will be twice as large as its present headquarters and is expected to be completed in February 2009.

Danske Andelskassers Bank A/S acts as the headquarters for a number of banks and offers consultancy and other services to these banks and several other financial business partners, including institutional investors and affluent private customers, within credit, pensions, accounting and communication etc., but especially within investment. Furthermore, these customers are offered IT solutions, systems and marketing to support their businesses.

Danske Andelskassers Bank A/S aims to utilise the knowledge and competencies gained from their involvement in the wholesale segment to also service the retail segment.
