Samobor Bank Inc. is one of the oldest financial institutions in Croatia.
Samoborsko banking towing roots from 1873. years from the time when in this area appear first financial institution. Samoborska savings bank was founded in 27th March 1873. year in business continuity to the present. According to the report of Chamber of Commerce in Zagreb for the year 1879., Croatia had 3 banks and 12 savings banks, and paid by equity Samoborska the society was the second largest Sparkasa in Croatia, and the oldest and most distinguished Croatian First Savings Bank in Zagreb. The founders first shareholders - owners of the savings banks were prominent Samoborci (a total of 21).
Organized as a joint stock company, changing its legal status (in some periods and as a business unit of major banks), the Bank acted as financial institutions in the field of readers, but also the wider region participating in the development of the economy. Samoborska society managed to maintain the whirl of world crises in the period since 1929. until 1931. when collapsed and disappeared thousands of banks and savings banks in the country and the world.
At the Assembly held on 01 Banks December 2003. year brought the decision on joining Zagorska banka dd Krapina Samoborskoj Bank dd Samobor.
After the merger with Bank Zagorje 2004. year is intended to become a strong and recognizable regional bank. The Bank is headquartered in Samobor. There bank has the ten branch offices in northern Croatia, more precisely, Zagorje and surroundings readers. In order to help develop small and medium enterprises in the region of northern Croatia Samobor Bank directed its operations to individuals and businesses. Bank credit portfolio is more than 150 million, of which more than half make loans to entrepreneurs and craftsmen, and 41 million loan for the citizens.
