Open Joint-Stock Company "AtraBank" was founded in Baku in 1992 as Joint-Stock Commercial Bank "Atra" The Bank obtained a license No.105 for carrying out banking operations, registered by the National Bank of Azerbaijan, on December 25, 1992 and has been successfully progressing in the financial market of Azerbaijan since then.

Both local private companies and individuals are shareholders of OJSC "AtraBank". The principle of trust between the Bank and its clients forms the basis of the Bank's activities, keeping of commercial secret and high level of safety of corporate interests and information are guaranteed. Thanks to these principles "AtraBank" has enjoyed the confidence of its clients for more than 15 years and their number keeps growing.

The name of the Bank was changed to Open Joint-Stock Company "AtraBank". due to the registration of the new charter in the Ministry of Justice on August 29, 2005.
