Bergslagen Sparbank AB was founded in 2000 by a merger of the old Savings Bank ie Bergslagen Savings and FöreningsSparbanken Local Bank Nora-Lindesberg.

Bergslagen Sparbank AB is owned today to 52% of Sparbanksstiftelsen Bergslagen and 48% of Swedbank.
Bergslagen Sparbank has its roots in Linde Savings, New Kopparbergs Savings and Fellingsbro Savings. The oldest is Fellingsbro Savings, founded in 1855. When the merger was Sparbanken offices in Lindesberg, Kopparberg, Storå and Fellingsbro.
