Banca Transilvania

Banca Transilvania, a bank corporation in Romania, was founded December 1993 in Cluj-Napoca by several local businessmen, with an initial capitalization of 2 billion Romanian lei (ROL) (approximately US$1 million); initial capitalization was 79% Romanian and 21% foreign.

Banca Transilvania (BVB:TLV), the first banking institution in Romania listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange became a blue chip due to its excellent performance. The main aspects that raised the interest of investors on Banca Transilvania's shares were the continuing development of the company and its increasing financial results.

Banca Transilvania believes in the Romanian entrepreneurial spirit, following an innate objective, that of supporting Romanian entrepreneurs. This is the concept leading to the creation of the Romanian Entrepreneur's Club - initiative of Banca Transilvania - which provides support and access to business consultancy.
