PPF banka a.s.

PPF banka a.s. is a member of PPF Group, the largest privately held financial services group in the Czech Republic and is the legal successor of Prvni mestska banka, a bank that focused primarily on municipal customers. Following the sale of a majority stake to PPF Group, the bank was renamed PPF banka a.s. and began serving corporate clients as well as providing investment services, including brokerage services on Czech and international markets.

In line with PPF Group’s overall strategy, PPF banka became one of the three shared-services companies to support the group’s expansion in Central and Eastern Europe as of 1 September 2005.

PPF bank’s Group responsibilities include:

1. acting as the main treasury bank for PPF Group;
2. managing the asset and liability structures of individual Group companies;
3. arranging funding transactions on debt and capital markets for individual Group companies; and (iv) acting as the Group’s Trading Unit on financial markets.

Apart from its activities within the framework of the PPF Group, the bank also provides services to government entities, cities, municipalities and regions, and the corporate sector, with a focus on mid-sized Czech enterprises.
