Medjimurje Bank Inc. was founded in 1954. as a cooperative bank and savings Cakovec which starts its business with three employees and 69 depositors - from the Cooperative. Odtada until today the Bank has experienced a number of organizational changes and changing names. Under the current name since 1978. years, while joint-stock company becomes the end of 1989. year.
1996. The Medjimurje the Bank, among the first banks in Croatia, the system of quality management certified in accordance with ISO 9002nd.
Following the world trends in banking technology, the Bank continuously expands and modernizing its facilities. Medjimurje Bank is one of the pioneers of electronic banking in Croatia. In early 1998. year introduced a service interactive telephone service, a year later Medjimurje Bank, as the first domestic bank, the market places and Internet banking.
At the end of 2000. The purchase of the majority package of shares, Privredna banka Zagreb became the new owner Međimurje bank which time the membership of the Group joined the Economic Bank and the leading Italian financial group - Gruppo Intesa.
In its future operations Medjimurje Bank retains the legal and corporate identity, and the expected strong support for further development in all areas of its activity.
