Keytrade Bank, the Belgian's first online investment site, is a financial services company based in Belgium with a subsidiary in Luxembourg.
In 1998, Keytrade Bank founded the first online investment broker in Belgium, named VMS-Keytrade. After its acquisition of RealBank in 2002, the organisation, by then renamed Keytrade Bank, received its official bank status. Thanks to its focus on quality and service provision, the organisation has grown into the largest Belgian online bank, boasting approximately 60,000 private and business customers. Keytrade Bank forms part of the Crédit Agricole Group, one of the largest banking groups in Europe. In July 1999, the bank opened its first branch in Luxembourg.
Keytrade Bank has been able to accelerate it's online banking initiatives by easing customers' transactions and management of their investment portfolios from remote locations. This was done through implementing RSA SecurID two-factor user identification to increase logon security and thereby customer confidence.
Keytrade Bank is still the undisputed leader in online trading in Belgium, with increased capacities to develop new products and investment services.
